September 13, 2010 – DALLAS, TX – For the past few years it seems that chilly temperatures were as much of a part of Art Conspiracy as the stellar art, raucous live auctions and music from local bands. This year you can expect the same Art Conspiracy that you know and love, but this time you can leave your knit caps and woolly gloves at home since we’re moving the event from December to October.

Art Conspiracy 6, will be held on October 23rd at 511 West Commerce in Dallas. This year’s Art Conspiracy will be hosted by KXT-FM’s Paul Slavens, will feature live music from Ishi, Seryn and Dem Southernfolkz, dynamic stage design from Edward Ruiz and Courtney Miles and art from 150 area artists.

Media Info:
Art Conspiracy organizers, musicians, and artists are available for interviews. For more

This year’s SEED will feature clocks created by 30 local artists.  The hands and the plywood have been provided, but each artist has the chance to modify, construct or deconstruct the clocks in the way they’d like.  In Art Conspiracy fashion, the clocks will be auctioned off live. The starting bid for each piece is $20.

November 3, 2009 – DALLAS, TX – What started off as a “one time only” fundraiser has become one of the most anticipated annual art events in Dallas.  On Saturday, December 12, starting at 7:00 p.m., Art Conspiracy will mark its fifth year of bringing artists and musicians together to “conspire” for good causes.

The event will feature music from Telegraph Canyon, The Crash That Took Me, The Boom Boom Box and RTB2, video installations from Edward Ruiz, art from 150 Dallas area artists and emcee, Paul Slavens, host of KERA-FM’s 90.1 at Night.

Since the end of May, 15 artists including Kim Cadmus Owens, Marcus Striplin, David Hopkins, Diane Sikes and Tina Medina have been filling up page after page of Moleskine® Journals with drawings, paintings, photography, lyrics, observations and more. DALLAS – October 17, 2007 – It was once the launching pad for many legendary blues artists. it has hosted every touring punk band worth their salt and it's a place where some of the most notable visual artists and musicians in town have started and nurtured their careers The chemistry in the sidewalks and warehouses of Deep Ellum has driven the cultural scene in Dallas for decades. This year Art Conspiracy will pay tribute to Deep Ellum's elemental contributions by staging the 3rd annual Art Conspiracy at The-Club-Formerly-Known-As-The-Gypsy-Tearoom, now known as The Door.

At 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 100 artists will have their work auctioned off in the historic Club-Formerly-Known-As-The-Gypsy-Tearoom now known as The Door. Local bands and DJs will play in between the live art
auctions.

Art Conspiracy is one-of-a-kind event because participating artists do their work on site the day before. The artists are issued a canvas and given an allotted period of time to complete their work. Artists bring in their own materials and ideas and work to fill as many canvasses as possible in a 24-hour period leading up to the start of the event. Starting bids for all pieces will be $20.

At 7 a.m. December 2nd, 2005, one hundred empty canvases were placed throughout the lobby of the Texas Theater. Some of Dallas' most noted artists took shifts filling as many of the canvases as possible in a 24 hour period.

At 7 p.m. December 3rd, 2005, Doors opened to the public for the first time in ten years to Dallas' most historic and infamous theater. The many canvases filling the lobby walls were available to anyone and everyone. The audience determined the price of each piece, and money was collected using the honor system only. By the end of the night, over 800 people had passed through the doors and all but three pieces had sold with the highest going up to $425.
